Description
My friends I'm afraid I have come down with a curse, for some con fuddling reason, I can't seem to stop drawing Uruks! (Orcs)
I don't know who to blame for this: J.R.R. Tolkien, Peter Jackson and Weta Digital, or TunrerMohan for his own drawings. Seriously, I have been drawing more and more of them in my sketchbooks there are almost as much drawings of these creeds as much of my prehistoric animal drawings!
Anyway, yeah I kind'a wanted to play around a bit with the appeal of these creatures, keeping the look and feel of the orcs from the movie adaptations of the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit as well the video game Shadow of Mordor, while also giving them a more ape/hominid aura akin to this guy
for reference I used Weta's orcs, as well as some minor disney characters, and characters from the Planet of the Apes films such as Koba the Chimpanzee.
I think I did a better job here than in my previous drawings which were not primative looking enough, though honestly I always found the movie orcs to have already possessed a primate-like feel to them, casually reminding me of the flying monkeys from The Wizard of Oz and Tim Burton's "Reimagining" of the Planet of the Apes; while still retaining the traditional look of goblins from ordinary children's stories.
I may have messed up the upper chest for the center orc, and also there's the issue of the smudging which I just realized thanks to my scanner not letting me know until now... but I am still pleased with my outcome.
But for the love of God, somebody PLEASe refrain me from drawing more orcs! It's like the whole black host of Mordor itself has infiltrated my very conscience.

Your orc style has almost a werewolf look. I like it!
